German Extra Hardy is an exceptionally cold-hardy, hardneck porcelain variety which is also known as German White, German Porcelain and Northern White . It has a classic garlic flavor which works well in a wide range of recipes and cuisines. There are approximately. 6-8 bulbs per pound. and each bulb yields 3-7 easy-to-peel cloves which are a pleasure to use in the kitchen. One pound of seed grade bulbs will typically contain enough cloves to plant a row of approximately 15-18’. German Extra Hardy is a very popular heirloom garlic and is among the most reliable garlic to grow. It is also an excellent keeper and, in the right conditions, will store easily for 6 months after harvest.
